Exercise Physiology

An Exercise Physiologist is an allied health professional who specialises in the benefits of exercise to help patients from paediatrics to geriatrics get fitter for all round good health, or to treat patients with a medical condition through exercise.

They are much more than an ordinary personal trainer at the gym. Exercise Physiologists study at university for a minimum of four years and have a wide range of knowledge about the human body and the benefit that exercise has on it, both mentally and physically. Their prescribed programs may be home, gym or aquatic based.

Exercise Physiologists are eligible for Medicare and private health fund rebates. They can also assist with Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accident, NDIS and Department of Veteran Affairs claims.
